How Can You Know If You Have Candida Symptoms?

Are you experiencing candida symptoms or are your symptoms the result of something else? If you are not sure, there's a very easy home test that you can do to determine if you have a candida yeast infection. It 's a saliva test and is very quick and easy to do, all you have to do is spit!...

When you awake in the morning, before you put anything into your mouth, work up some saliva and spit it into a clear glass of water. After 30 minutes, look in the glass. If there are strings coming down from your saliva, or if the water turned cloudy, or if your saliva sank to the bottom, YOU MAY HAVE A CANDIDA CONCERN! Healthy saliva will simply float on the top!

(You may want to put out a glass of water in the bathroom or beside your bed the night before you wish to do the home candida saliva test, just to remind yourself not to brush your teeth prior to spitting into the glass.)

Candida is a yeast that lives in the human digestive system. It has the ability to change from a yeast and become a fungus. As a fungus it operates in a similar fashion to any other fungus such as athletes' foot fungus, etc. Candida is kept at low levels by the friendly bacteria that also reside in the digestive tract. The friendly bacteria feed on the candida, thus a balance in the body is maintained. Modern medicine's "gift" of antibiotics, birth control pills, cortisone and chemotherapy kill this friendly bacteria as do street drugs, alcohol, and junk food diets.

Once this friendly bacteria has been destroyed, the yeast begins to overgrow and take over the digestive system. Left untreated, it becomes a fungus and grows into a plant-like structure complete with roots. These roots can break through the intestinal walls, allowing the yeast to travel to other areas of the body such as the sinuses, throat, reproductive organs, the lungs and skin just to name a few.

A yeast infection is capable of producing over 100 different candida symptoms, some of the major ones are listed below...

  • Vaginal odour and/or discharge
  • Painful sex or sexual dysfunction
  • PMS and/or menstrual pain
  • Acne
  • Eczema
  • Respiratory Infections
  • Food Allergies
  • Gas
  • Painful urination or other urinary disorders
  • Depression or mood swings
  • Chronic rashes
  • Tiredness or fatigue
  • Irritability
  • Joint pain or swelling
  • Feeling run down
  • Digestive pain
  • Muscle aches
  • Short attention span
  • Headaches or constant migraines
  • Impotence
  • Hypoglycemia
  • Skin Lesions
  • Shortness of Breath
  • Learning and Memory Problems
  • Blurred Vision
  • Brain Fog
  • Yeast Infections in Your Toe or Fingernails
  • Leaky Gut Syndrome
  • Premature Aging

As you can see, the symptoms are so varied no one person has all the same set as another. The average candida sufferer has 20 or more of these (while others have less and some have more). Many times they have given up on ever finding out what was wrong with them because all of these symptoms seem unrelated.

A yeast infection starts from the inside and can only be treated and cured from the inside. If you continue to treat your yeast infection externally by killing the yeast or by using antibiotics you are literally putting your health on the line and you will never get rid of your yeast infection. You see, most people who fail to cure their candida symptoms are simply repeating the same mistakes over and over again.

Even the natural products that promise to kill the source of the infection (e.g. killing candida albicans) do not work because candida is a naturally occurring yeast that is found in everybody and the only way to get rid of it is to neutralize the environment that encourages its overgrowth, not by killing the yeast.

Your body sends you messages all the time. Most of us ignore the majority of them. A yeast infection is after all a desperate message from your body telling you something is wrong inside.

The key to your success is working with your body by stopping the internal cause of the yeast infection while maintaining that inner natural balance where candida symptoms cease to exist.
